Dr. Les Rykiss was conferred the degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the College of Dentistry, University of Manitoba, in 1990. In 1995 he opened the Linden Market Dental Centre, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Always motivated to expand the level of service to his patients and commitment to the dental profession, he turned to the newest of technologies to deliver better treatment to his patients. In 2007 he sought to adapt laser dentistry to his practice and earned an Associate Fellowship in Laser Dentistry, from the World Clinical Laser Institute (WCLI).
In 2008 he started his formal cosmetic training and earned his certification in Cosmetic Dentistry from the Nash Institute for Dental Learning in Charlotte, North Carolina. He has since mentored at the Nash institute and taught cosmetic dentistry. Since then he also added CAD/CAM technology to his practice.
Besides his patients, Dr. Rykiss is committed to using his the experience and education in the academia, where he has held teaching positions at the University of Manitoba, in Restorative and Pediatric dentistry, and lectures on, and trains other dentists and dental hygienists in, laser-assisted dentistry. He has published several articles and lectured throughout North America on cosmetic and digital (CAD/CAM) dentistry, and in the use of dental lasers in hard and soft tissue procedures.
Dr. Rykiss is a member of the Manitoba Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Winnipeg Dental Society, The Canadian Academy for Esthetic Dentistry, American Society for Dental Aesthetics, and past president of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. As well, he has attained his Fellowship in The International Academy for Dento-facial Esthetics. He is also the Esthetics Editor for Oral Health Dental Journal.
